Motor Systems Program Overview
The primary goal of the Business Partners Motor Systems Program is to promote energy conservation through the purchase and use of NEMA Premium® efficient electric motors throughout the State of New York.
Almost 70 percent of industrial and commercial electric demand in the State of New York is created by electric motors and motor-driven systems. To tackle the demand, while continuing to promote energy conservation, NYSERDA’s Business Partners Motor Systems Program assists vendors and purchasers of motor systems to provide high quality, energy efficient, and safe motor products to their customers.
Instead of simply convincing industrial and commercial customers to buy NEMA Premium® motors, NYSERDA wants them to understand why they should. It is for that reason that our programs offers training and assistance to our motor vendors, so they are equipped with the necessary tools needed to explain to the benefits of purchasing and installing NEMA Premium® motors, and why we offer workshops for customers.
NYSERDA also offers marketing and technical support, motor management training, and on-sight support. The services NYSERDA programs provide will give your company an important edge in a highly competitive marketplace.
